Dr. Preetam Ganu

Gynaecologist & Obstetrician | Founder of Full Circle Care (Independent Tenant Practitioner)

Dr Preetam Ganu is a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist and the Founder and Medical Director of Full Circle Care Women’s Health Centre in Adelaide, South Australia.

She has trained extensively in Australia and holds Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists after completing similar medical training in India. She has completed Masters in Reproductive Medicine at University of New South Wales.

With over 20 years of clinical experience across both public and private healthcare, Dr Ganu has dedicated her career to delivering compassionate, evidence-based and culturally responsive care to women at every stage of life. After a decade in Australia’s public hospital system, she established a successful private practice before launching Full Circle Care — a purpose-built, multidisciplinary women’s health hub bringing together gynaecologists, women’s health GPs, physiotherapists, psychologists and dietitians under one roof.

Her area of interests are

  • Pelvic pain and endometriosis- medical and surgical management with advanced laparoscopy
  • Abnormal uterine bleeding
  • Fibroids and adenomyosis- with myomectomy or Laparoscopic hysterectomy
  • Fertility treatment
  • Abnormal cervical screening tests
  • Menopause

She operates in Ashford hospital, Flinders Private hospital, North Eastern Community Hospital and Wallaroo hospital. She works in Mount Barker Hospital one day a week and helps with public maternity services and educating next generation of doctors. She provides Fertility services as an associate at Family fertility Centre.

Dr Ganu’s vision for Full Circle Care is to create a centre of excellence in women’s health — integrating clinical care, education, research and community engagement to improve outcomes for women with complex, chronic and often under-recognised conditions.

Beyond her clinical work, Dr Ganu is a deeply committed community leader. She is the Founder, Volunteer Principal and Chairperson of Adelaide Marathi Vidyalay, a Community Languages School she helped to establish in 2017 to preserve language, culture and identity for the next generation of children. She is also a co-founder of Saree Sahelis, an innovative multicultural women’s wellbeing initiative that uses walking, fitness and social connection to empower women from diverse backgrounds to stay active, confident and connected. She also regularly presents on multicultural radio.

She also co-founded the South Australian Pelvic Pain Network (SAPPN) under pelvic pain foundation, a clinician-led not-for-profit bringing together multidisciplinary professionals to improve care for women living with pelvic pain. She is a committee member for RANZCOG state committee.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, Bollywood dance, hiking and spending time with family.
